If I could choose only one lip tint to bring with me on a deserted island then it would have to be the Mistine Dream Lip Tint. Not only because it's one of my favorite tints but because I'm sure that it will last me quite a while since it's really long lasting so I won't need to reapply all the time. But since that won't be happening, I could live with all my tints without having to choose just one! 😂

Mistine is a Thai cosmetics brand that you could easily find or buy anywhere in Thailand. The Dream Lip Tint is one of their famous products. I think I got mine from Eve & Boy or Boots then I restocked at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport while waiting for our flight back to Manila. 

I was actually looking for details such as in the Eve and Boy site and even on their official sites but I can’t seem to find this line anymore. Although I still found its price, 129 baht (around P195), in an old advertisement in Eve and Boy's Facebook account. I’m not sure if this was already discontinued or what but some Shopee stores still sell these between P300-400, which is quite expensive to be honest. 

There are three shades available: #1 Pink, #2 Orange and #3 Red. However, I didn't buy the orange one as this type of shade doesn't really suit my skin tone. 

The Mistine Dream Lip Tint contains 1.5g of lip balm and 3.2g of tint. One end contains the tint which is really pigmented and opaque. The other end contains the balm which is applied after and is supposed to seal the tint to make it last longer. The balm turns from clear to a pink shade once applied, which is very reminiscent of a magic balm. You can also buy a similar but separate magic balm product like this from Mistine which is their Pink Magic Balm in Strawberry.

PROS:

• Pigmented and opaque.
• Very affordable.
• Long lasting out of all the tints I’ve tried (The Saem and The Face Shop x Line Friends tints are some of the ones I really like as well in terms of color payoff, ease of use, price and longevity).
• 2 in 1 product: you get a lip balm and tint in one.
• Easy to use and apply.
• Smells fruity and yummy.
• Non-drying.

CONS:

• Easily available in Thailand but not here in Manila. You can get it via Shopee but at a more expensive price.
• Only contains little amount of balm and tint since the tube is halved to accommodate two products in one.
• There are only three colors available which are the three basic ones: pink, orange and red.

Here are the swatches of the Mistine Dream Lip Tints! I really hope Mistine could still bring this product here in Manila, at a more affordable price, especially since (I think) they already have an official local online store here! 💜

LOCAL MAKEUP PRODUCTS THAT YOU SHOULD TRY IN 2021

EB Advance Bloom Blush in Fig

I first tried this blush years ago when it was still sold in its old packaging. I bought it because there were a lot, and I mean a lot, of good reviews about it. So I purchased one to see what all the fuss was about. True enough, I fell in love with this blush the first moment I used it. However, I was really put off by the packaging haha (sorry) and I eventually tried to depot it until the brush broke into pieces. 

I wasn't able to repurchase it after that and thought to myself that I'd just wait for the day when they'd relaunch it with a different packaging. I was just dreaming for that day to come even though I didn't really think it would happen haha.

Lo and behold, they did actually relaunch it last November 2020 as part of their Bloom Blush Collection! I was so happy when I found out that I almost cried HAHA. I was so excited because it looks very different with its new packaging. I remember how the old one looked very outdated so I was really happy with this new look!

The new packaging looks so pretty and I love it! It's also very compact and is sturdier compared to the previous one. I love this blush because it gives you a very nice and natural rosy flush on your cheeks. The only thing I've noticed is that it seems to be a little less red-toned than the old one.

This blush is sold at Watsons and in one of their official online stores for P175 (1.5g). 

Vice Cosmetics BT21 Cheeky Blush in Everyday Nude

I did a review on this cream blush along with other local dupes for the Glossier Cloud Paints in this POST a few months back. I fell in love with this blush because it is so easy to use and not intimidating at all. I also love this one in particular, a dewy brown shade, although I wish there were more wearable & neutral shade options like this within their Cheeky Blush range. 

It's not as long lasting as my Glossier Cloud Paint but I still love using it. Plus, the packaging is really cute too with Shooky & Cooky on it haha! 

This is sold at Watsons and in one of their official online stores for P195 (8ml).

Squad Cosmetics Multipurpose Mousse Cream in Gleeful

I tried Squad Cosmetics out of curiosity because not only are their products really, really affordable but there were also a lot of good reviews on them. I did a review of this Multipurpose Mousse Cream HERE along with their Happy Pot in Muse. 

This is the only shade I've tried from the range but this is a must-try as, I think, that it's a shade that can complement a lot of skin tones. I enjoy using this on the cheeks the most and I could give this product brownie points just for how delicious it smells!! 

This Multipurpose Mousse Cream is sold for only P149 (5ml). You can purchase it and other Squad Cosmetics products from their official online stores such as HERE. Be sure to check out their page as their items go on sale from time to time! 

Shawill Make-up Sweet Heart Blusher in #1

This blush reminds me of the Too Faced Love Flush blushers! If you would also search online, this looks very similar to the Kiss Beauty Sweet Heart Blush - like the name and print literally looks the same!! 

This blush has garnered quite a number of good reviews too. I finally tried it after much contemplation and, I must say, I'm not disappointed at all!

I chose the shade #1 as I'm into brown blushes at the moment. It's not the most wearable and natural shade out of the range but you can definitely use this as a bronzer and eyeshadow too! 

It also has cute hearts printed on the blush itself and the compact is quite sturdy - with a mirror that's actually useful haha. 

This is sold at Watsons and their official online store for only P149, which is really affordable for 6.5g of product! 

Bobbie Nails 10-in-1 Super Duty Nail Polish

This next one is more like a bonus because it's a non-makeup product haha. I first discovered this while strolling the aisles of Watsons, looking for something new as usual haha. I think I've had this for over a year now and I bought it because I was into clear and neutral shades of nail polish at that time. 

I was actually expecting that the color would be more significant when applied on the nails but it actually isn't. However, what I loved about this is that it gives a more healthy glow to my nails compared to the usual plain, clear nail polish. Maybe because of that very subtle and slight hint of pink to it? 

I'm almost done with this bottle but I can't find it on stock anymore and I'm not sure why. I love using this because it looks very natural and it makes my nails look not only healthy but really neat without much effort.

I forgot how much this was but I think it was more or less P50 at Watsons.

KOREA HAUL

NAMSAN TOWER

Namsan Tower, also known as N Seoul Tower, is a famous tourist place for those visiting South Korea as it has also served as a filming site for some Kdramas. It's something you'd usually see as you tour different areas in Seoul since it's overlooking the city. I'd usually see the tower from the window in our hotel room and even while strolling Myeongdong at night when it's usually lit up in bright colors. 

The Namsan Tower (236.7m) is located in Yongsan-gu and is sitting on top of the Namsan Mountain which is 243m above sea level (Visit Korea). One way to get here is through the Namsan Cable Car which costs 9500 won for a roundtrip. Aside from checking out the view through the observatory, you can also find a Starbucks coffee shop, some restaurants and even a gift shop here. The admission ticket for the observatory is 11,000 won for adults.

Unfortunately in our case,  I wasn't able to properly check the route via cable car so we went the long and seemingly impossible way which is through hiking to Namsan Park (and we weren't ready for it haha). The long way to the hiking entrance - passing by a day care center and a lot of other things - and as well as the hike to the top was so tiring!! There were a lot of stairs haha! 

I was actually gutted because we ended up not getting to the top because of my mistake haha. I didn't realize that it was so far! But we still tried to enjoy the view while we were there and we saw a lot of locals getting their daily dose of exercise in this place too.

As I said, we just tried to enjoy the view, and nature itself, which is why is why a short OOTD photoshoot is coming your way below haha.

It's sad that we weren't able to get to the top as my family enjoys visiting towers and tall buildings with observatory decks, to see the view of the city, during trips. But we're hoping to finally visit the actual Namsan Tower the next time we come back to Seoul! 😊

MYEONGDONG

I've lost count how many times we've visited Myeongdong during this trip but it was fun! I loved this bustling place in the city. 😁

By now, I think you're used to this, as we got our Bomb Rice rolls fix again haha! We also ordered the same yummy fried chicken too! 

It was really good too and it was so pretty you wouldn't want to eat it! 

We also visited the Line Friends shop just because it was too cute not too! I didn't buy anything as I just wanted to see what cute stuff they were selling.
